Field Test: Tea and Coffee Making Facilities #1

We are doing more touring, and like it so well that we are planning to do alot more of it. But getting a good cuppa isnt easy if you are deep off the beaten path, as we like to be. Ergo...

The equipment performance was excellent all around. The instant coffee however, was totally feral...

...and was soon abandoned. Which allowed me to discover this charming wildflower.

I'm with you. I need coffee. Gotta work on that perfect cuppa. Beautiful wildflower, what is that a weed?

KJ I never knew there was so much cool stuff at the camping outfitters shop LOL You see thier catalogs and think, "Meh", but go in the shop and its an Alladins Cave of practical treasure! LOL

Young Werther Indeed!
Our second attempt wasnt much better - the quest continues! LOL

Ces Must Have Caffeine! Our trouble is, we are spoiled at home with beatiful coffee, so when we are out - there is no cafe that can please us - how did we become such coffee snobs? LOL
Sadly, neither of us know what the sweet purple wildflower is called, and Ive turned up nothing searching...sigh...Oh well, perhaps I will find out one day and be able to add it here...they were scattered through the lawn grass - very short stalks, no discernable leaves - far out stuff!

that flower looks like some kind of iris to me...

Yeah, I'd also take it for an iris. Really beautifully coloured that soft lavender and if you have a closer look you can see the landing marks to show the pollinators where to go for the nectar.
Camping is fun!!!! Will try to go for it next summer again in Portugal!

Those are some posh seats there to drink your coffee on. Now all you need to do is find a fancy camp style coffee machine. very sweet flower, it does look very irisy.

KJ Oh yes! I hadnt thought of that, well done KJ - I may have been searching in the wrong places! Thanks KJ!

Areeiro Portugal! Wow! Not spoiled for choice, are you? LOL I think I would love living in Europe - you can go so many places pretty much whenever you want...I wish Id gotten a clearer shot of this - you are so right about the landing stips etc Great details are only fuzzy here, better luck next time?

Melanie Oh the seats are great, we got them at Bunnings a few years ago when I was doing markets all the time - you need a comfy seat to sit all day - for sure! LOL And you dont know how right you are about the need for a fancy camping coffee machine ROFL we are so spoiled at home its not going to be easy :)
