In a spot of bother...

Aurora likes to project a lady-like image. She doesnt even like to be seen playing. If she discovers anyone watching her play, she will immediately stop and resume a more dignified stance.

So I was pretending I didnt notice her playing with this plastic bag, untill she got herself into this pickle. And Im quite sure she did not feel I was being helpful at all when I snapped this picture of her, before offering her more genuine assistance.

For some reason both our kitties really enjoy playing with these bags, but dont worry, they are kept out of reach unless we are on hand to supervise. Albeit, surreptitiously.

Its a pity she is so self-conscious, as when she is playing her agility and grace is beautiful to watch.
They have no interest whatsoever in canvas bags, LOL!

Picture? I don't see a picture. :(

Wow there it is! Weird.
My cats do that too. Love plastic bags - I have one cat who will sleep on any plastic bag he finds. But yeah, they DO get stuck sometimes. Cute!!

Hi Bettejo! Sorry to hear that the troubles extend beyond just my computer - hope that stops quickly! Maybe its not just my system but one of the servers as well - fingers crossed it clears soon as Im missing browsing my fave blogs.

She does look a bit worried you have caught her playing Lavender! Maybe she thinks you are laughing at her and not with her?
:)

Hehehe, she is sensitive that way, the poor dear!

Playing WITH her is a challenge, it seems she is content just to watch me toss her mousey toy around :)

How cute my ferrets love playing with bags.

My brothers kitten used to get into a similar pickle. It would carefully stick its head through the handle and then be spooked by the bag pursuing her. Manic laps of the living room ensued with the bag rustling behind, flapping like a superman cape.

Cats always like something to play with. It can land them in a mess, though!

She is a beautiful cat. Can you imagine she is so concious: Photo? You want take a photo of me? OK - let's discuss the price - LOL.

- we have only two cats ourselfs - but for the time beeing we are catsitters - and besides the neighbouring cat comes evry day to our summerhouse.

I like Aurora's personality. My cats like grocery bags and boxes, which are too small for them, more than any cat toy I've ever bought.
I enjoyed reading about Aurora, and she's a pretty cat.

Gday Hardwax I think the cats must have more sense than we do sometimes. Boxes, bags, bits of string and the odd bottle top being infinately more interesting than the latest whizz-bang faux mousey...
I enjoyed your art when I visited, will have to make you a regular stop. Thanks for coming by!

oh, she's so pretty !

my sister was in the shower recently and heard a "knock knock" on the door. My nephew yells in "[their cat]is stuck in a bag and can't get out". Sure enough, she'd not only gotten herself wound up in one of those bags, but fell down the stairs in in (they'd recently moved from a ranch to a cape - stairs were new). Running around the house, yowling, in a bag...crazy cat. (She's fine, BTW)

Anyway, good to be back from vacation - hope you are well !

AoideLOL oh that poor cat tehehe I bet it's sworn a vendetta on plastic bags now! LOL Glad you had a good vacation, and loved seeing those beautiful flowers you recieved - aint love grand?!

Snoskred Not much beats a new box for them, I wouldnt mind something a little prettier, more in line with the way the house is decorated - but theyd still prefer the boxes!!!

I also enjoy it when you catch them trying to creep into a box that's patently smaller than one of their paws. You've got to wonder where the evolutionary instinct went awry with that one.

Omega Mom LOL Yeah! What is with that? It never ceases to amaze me...oh to be that flexible!
Thanks for coming by!

mmm yes love is wonderful...had to leave my flowers at work though, they would never have survived the trip to Maine...though they did look gorgeous in the lobby, and the girls at work were happy (and jealous) to look at them.

Did sneak one home and dry the petals :)

Good idea to dry one for posterity, and I bet the gals enjoyed sharing the lovely flowers! Jealous or not :)
