Hidden Cave in 'Forbidden Zone'

In the center of this photo, just behind the small young tree, you can see the dark entrance to a cave. I wonder how deep it goes, whether humans used it for shelter, was it a sacred place, does it have paintings?

We could see a route to it, but as it is located in a protected area, we were 'forbidden' to investigate.

Have fun exploring today, even if only in your imagination!

Somewhere on the edge of the catchment area for Sydneys drinking water. It is an $11,0000.00 fine if you set one foot over the guard rail from the road. While we stopped to look at this area and take some pics, the ranger went by twice! I wondered if we looked THAT suspicious LOL!

Forbidden zone! Oh no! Now I want to see inside all the more. I've got a little wireless camera...now if you can just train Goliath to carry it in...

Some things I want to see close up, but caves make me think of spiders and crawly things.
I think you can see plenty right from where you took the picture!

At first I instantly recognised that cave Lavender, but it would have been from a very long time ago. If I have been inside, Dad would have made a scary sound and I would have run out screaming from a Bunyip Scare!! Hhahhaaa. You, Barkfoot and Goliath make a good Secret Agent team!!

BetteJo Tehehe yes Id bet there'd be plenty of those things in there - Im sure Goliath could negotiate with all the critters for us :)

Anon How cheeky! Why do Dads like to torment us? :)
Barkfoot's suggestion is indeed brilliant! (And after all - Goliath is an indigenous Australian) so, No Worries Mate! Hehehe

Ces (((Blushing))) I will see you there!

Captian It does, doesnt it! Makes me think there must be some sort of National Treasure in there LOL! Id love to find a cave that still had some Aboriginal paintings in it, just to see them in real life and soak myself in the atmosphere, ponder how uch harder, but simpler, life was then....Cheers!
