WW: Nest update, day 3

After the third day of construction, its really starting to look close to completion. She hasnt started lining the nest yet, so there is at least one more days work to go.

Im Busted! Shes seen me poking my lens in the tree and has given me a scolding I wont soon forget. I will have to be extra sneaky tommorrow.

These shots were taken yesterday the 25th - this is coming to you "live" by blog standards ROFL!

Wont be long now and she will begin to lay eggs. I wonder if they lay like budgies, one every other day, or like chickens, every day - will the eggs be white or speckled - will they hatch and thrive? Stay tuned!! :)

These are beautiful shots. I too think the second shot of mama is terrific! Happy WW :)

Both shots are gorgeous, but the darkness of the bird, her big shiny eyes and brown plumage, against the bright blue of the sky...simply marvelous.

Happy WW!

I'm here looking for your Wordless Wednesday post, but don't see it unless this is it... at any rate, these are cool photos. Awesome to see the progress she's making.

Have a great week.

Oh it really does look like a nest now! I was having trouble quite visualizing the shape it was taking before.
And now I know who it belongs to! Very nice pictures!

Do you ever make glass marbles Lavender?

Thanks Elizt! Ive only made one marble - keep meaning to give them another go as they are fun and a bit of a challenge. Are you a marble afficionado?
