Ingredient of Purple Haze


These little flowers in great profusion make the Jacaranda the marvel it is.

I just love that tree! Your picture shows exactly why... the colour is so rare and there are so many flowers at the same time. When the flowers finally wilt, the ground is thickly covered with these light blue-purple petals. Really nice! The only other flower that compares this is Wisteria, similarly beautiful and coloured when it blooms before the sprouting of foliage...

KJ Iam so glad you are enjoying it! Ironically, we are freezing down here too - big winds, no sun - everyone here says it feels like winter again - and its not at all usual for November here - we should all be sneaking off the the beach by now, but Brrrrr! Not yet! Teeheehee

Areeiro Oh yes, Wisteria is also gorgeous! Someday we hope to have an outdoor patio area which I hope to grow wisteria over - sun in winter/shade in summer - but those wonderful flowers of thiers - what a show!
