Her Majesty's Fireworks

Since growing some Queen Annes Lace (Ammi Majus) from seed a couple years ago, I find Im even more enamoured of it than I was back in the day it was just a weed by the side of every road in my country of origin.

I keep taking pictures of it - as though I was doing a 'study'. Perhaps I am. Or perhaps its just fodder for another occasional series - only time will tell. Regardless, it fills the bill today as Ive nothing else prepared!

The background blurs of orangey yellow and puple are California poppies and and iris.

I love Queen Anne's Lace, and "Her Majesty's fireworks" - that's MOST descriptive!

I believe they say, that it's only a weed if it grows in a spot where it wasn't intended!

oh, wow, it's not a weed there ? Weird :) That being said, even though it is here I've always kind of liked it...

At first glance I thought it was a snow globe!

Lovely!

It's pretty plus I'm sure the bees like it too! :-)

BetteJo Oh yes, was always a fave for me too - Thanks for enjoying my fireworks idea too! :)

Camellia Too right! Lovely to meet you Camellia, thanks for stopping in!

Aoide Isnt it wild to imagine somewhere where it doesnt grow everywhere? Teeheehee Best 'weed' ever in my humble opinion - well, obviously, or I wouldnt have planted it LOL

Sharon Cool! Now I see a snow globe - groovy how imagination works, isnt it? Hope you and Mooky are both well and ready for winter, brrr!

Areeiro Oh my yes! I had a strange bee in it the other day, havent worked out who he was yet - but the 'regular' bees do indeed love it as well.

artistsgardenstudio Ah, then you wont mind when I post some more pics! LOL They really help me feel less homesick - a familiar plant in still sometimes unfamiliar surroundings....Cheers!
