Budgie Sunday - Odd shot

Everybudgie is still at some point in the moult, so Ive pulled out a pic from October to share today. I like the way Uno is sitting so perfectly upright, while her mate Goliath appears to be missing his head.

This shot was taken just moments before the one I used in Budgie Sunday - Sharing, and also gives us a good look at the feather patterns on thier backs.

Well time to go clean the aviary.
I collect thier shed feathers - havent decided what I will do with them yet, but so pretty on or off the bird :)

Happy cage cleaning Lavender, before the temperature is too high! Unlike photographing humans, back photos of birds are important for us dummies to be able to identify birds HAHA. I'm off looking for feathers and you have so many you don't know what to do with them ;) Have a good Sunday!

Anon Tehehe I could stuff a pillow....well, a small one anyway! Tehehe Think its going to be beastly hot today - hope you have somewhere to hunt for feathers where it is cool. Very glad you see the value in the shot, I rather like it, dont know why it reminds me of Ma & Pa kettle..cant remember the name of the older farm couple, where the man is holding the pitchfork Tehehe :)

For some reason it makes me think of people sitting in church.

BetteJo Tehehe, the little old lady rapturously attentive and her husband, little old man, fast asleep? LOL

Are they that awful looking that they should not be featured? It can't be that bad....its almost like you feel embarrassed for them! How funny...

Pawhealer Well, they look better this week than they did last, but - youre right, I am embarrassed for them LOL But they even try to hide from me when I go in the aviary, so I figure, better to just let them get on with it...Will have to do double time with the camera soon tho! :)

I am really curious what a molted bird looks like, but I don't want to cause any emotional scarring...That is for either you or the birds!

Anon Tehehe I wish I could remember the painting that I thinking of, dont you hate it when youre on the verge of remembering, but just cant quite get there? :)

Pawhealer Oh sorry Pawhealer, its funny cause I recently cleaned out my picture collection, and I deleted a pic of Baiter in a big moult - nex time for sure I will snag a shot - theyre looking just scruffy now as they are nearly done (They will be much happier in a day or two) :)

Oneida Oh lovebirds are lovely and seem very sweet - Im sorry you had to leave one behind, I know how hard that can be. :)
