I really should have gotten my close up lens out - but you get the idea.
One little world, easy to miss if youre not looking!

Are those Stnk Bugs Lavender? Have you tried touching them? Pretty flowers :)

I meant 'STINK' bugs :)

Sorry to be the voice of doom and gloom, but aren't those carpet beetles? The adult beetle eats pollen, but the larvae (wooly bears) can cause havoc in the house, eating natural fibres (including carpets). They particularly like feathers (often infest old bird nests), so watch out for your duvets!

Anon I dont know! Tehehe I wondered if the big one was farming the little ones, or preying on them....hadnt had a chance to try to find out who they all were - and they are gone now....kicking myself for not going for the close up lens, wouldve made ID easier - oh well! Hehehe

Barkfoot ACK! Hope not! LOL Perhaps I should try to id them...but on the bright side, theres plenty of old timber and feathers in my garden - they should be well supplied out there! :)

Yeah - the pic is great just as it is - and as you described it. Too much closer and I would have gotten to creepy crawlies!!
