Must confess I have a migraine, so I may be very lax today with comments etc, Im sure you will all forgive me - especially if I still get a pic of the chicks today to post for you all tommorrow. And nothing can stop me doing that, so no worries Mates! :)
A lot more fluffy, and less 'eyes' and 'innards'! Definately more cute. In the first photo, was their 'feed me, feed me' in a response to your approach? Hope that migraine gets better soon, perhaps less goggling time in front of that bright computer screen?!
Holy cow - you could have that first pic published in a wildlife magazine or something - it's great! And I just love the fuzzy heads in the 2nd. It's amazing how quickly they're changing - and equally amazing how well you are capturing it!
Barkfoot Daddy came back while I had my lens in there...he perched a few feet above my head and made his "Oi! Get out of it you git!" calls - when the chicks heard that - thier heads snapped up like a flash LOL
Ces Much cuter Tehehe And it wont be long till they are handsome even :)
BetteJo Aw shucks, Thanks! I try hard, and sometimes it works out! :)
Captain Many thanks! These migraines are tricksy, may be one day may be three - what cha gonna do? Soldier On! :)
Ces Yes, the Little Wattle Bird likes to build low, but the predators we most fear in my backyard is the Butcher birds and Currawongs...and they can get you anywhere - sad to say! Lucky for me we havent seen the neighbors cat for a long time, hope he hasnt met his end!
Hardwax Very distinctive look, isnt it? Tehehe Apparetnly at this point in thier development, the eyes are still too big to fit in the skull...so much growing to do, and so little time to do it in - amazing!

Get better soon Lavender. You have my sympathy as I know what migraines are. I agree that they look more like birds now.

That's a good action picture, Lavender. Hope that nasty migraine has gone now.
BTW, you said the nests are built low. I hope there are no cats nearby. Are there predators?
