I do not know what variety of Phlomis this particular plant is. Id been searching for Phlomis Russeliana, perhaps we dont have that one in Australia. P. Russeliana is greener with a more upright growth habit than this specimen, but I still adore its flowers.
Perriennial even here in Sydney, I simply cut it back if it gets too leggy. Tough drought tolerant plant with plenty of interest.

You might not find this in your local garden center, but ask them and they can probally order you in one. Or try a specialist mail order nursery.
Cheers!
Drought resistant plants are certainly the best! This is a very pretty one too Lavender. Reminds me of pom poms. Not English twins ... the sort you make from wool :)

Hi Lavender
Please keep posting photos of your lovely garden. I love getting up in the morning when it's dark and damp here and going straight to your blog page to feast upon the gorgeous colours and light!! It makes a great start to the day.

kinky yogi The winter here is so much milder than the UK, and dont get me wrong, I appreciate it...but Man! Do I hate weeding all year round LOL When I lived in the Northern Hemisphere, I used to ache for spring (as one does up there) but never appreciated that at least one had some time off from weeding Tehehehe
