Pirates of the Caribbean fans will understand the title "I want my jar of dirt." Are there many of POTC fans reading this?

The tax man just makes your heart sink...When I get an envelope in the mail my heart sinks...every time without fail. Sheer fear each and every single time.

Lucky! You have until October 31st! I have until the 15th, but luckily, I already had them processed. I hate taxes!

Not a POTC fan but I think I'd get the willies too if that showed up on my phone!

Are taxes in Australia due in October? Please forgive me if that's just too stupid of a question!

I always leave my tax return until the last minute. Right up until it's too late to post it and I have to drive in the middle of the night to put it through the letter box of the tax office personally in the next town. After getting lost I stopped for directions and a nice lady was very helpful and even offered to get in and show me the way. I declined, but thought "What a nice lady being so helpful!" I'm sooo naive...it wasn't until later that I was imformed that the tax office was in the 'red light' district! (is this tax deductable?!)

Hey - if you're going bum up - they should at least buy you dinner first!!

Yes, a bit unnerving and funny. I haven't received a text from the IRS, and I don't feel at all deprived.
I haven't seen POTC-yet, but for some reason, a jar of dirt sounds very comforting to me, don't know why.

Anon Arrrrrr!! :) Ive played the dvd a few too many times myself....obviously, Tehehe!!

Pawhealer They have that effect on me too - no good reason for it - but there it is! Glad Im not the only one :)

Holly Yeah, I dont know why I have till the 31st this year - I thought it was the 15th as usual - strange, eh? Good for you having them ready to go - bravo!

Sharon There are no dumb questions! :) Aussies do it differently, the financial year runs July 1st to June 30th and taxes must be filed by Oct 15th (or 31st for some strange reason this year) It totally does my head in - why not go with the calendar year???? LOL

Barkfoot ROFL! ROFL! ROFL! Deductions...probally not for you Mate! But Im sure she could have claimed 'travel expenses' :)

BetteJo (POTC = "Pirates of the Caribbean") and YES!! Yes, they should! LOL

Hardwax Probally the comfort of mother earth at work there :) No body would want to be lost at sea with Davy Jones chasing them - (((shiver))) Tehehe
