Two Turtle Doves

Two Spotted Turtle Doves, so engrossed in thier conversation, that I couldnt get a shot of thier faces...oh well, the Jacaranda blossoms look great against the blue sky.

If youd like to see more Spotted Turtle Doves, check them out at Bird Anonymous's blog or at the birdsinbackyards.net site.

Wonder where I could find a partridge in a pear tree.....

All the others, such as milkmaids, lords etc might be tricky to find.

Hi Lavender, the Jacaranda's at my place are pretty bare at the moment. The rains have washed the purple off.. garden's a real mess LOL

BTW, sneaking off shortly to the Blue Mountains, no boat *sigh*. Rented a house, feet up, Chardonnay in hand doing absolutely nothing...

Been having a discussion with Aoide on pumpkin v squash.. Passing on her message "OMG that is waaay too funny - see ? they are SQUASH !!! tell Lav I'll send her a can of pumpkin whenever she wants :)"

Take Care

Captain Oh Argh, youre right!!! But yet.....hmmmmmm - let me get back to you! LOL

Anon Yes, not enough time for any of that sort of thing, unless one is a turtle dove I guess....ergh.....Theres a Koel out the back somewhere DRIVING ME NUTS with his maniac calling - but cant see him ANYWHWERE!!!! :)

YW Hey Mate! Yeah, mines really done now too - but the rains been a change, eh?
Enjoy the mountains, and dont spare us back in the mundane lands a second thought - ENJOY!
Hugs to Aoide! Only a Yank knows the difference between a pumpkin and a squash ROFL!!! (Feeling very vindicated!)

Love the tree and the blossoms against the sky - more than the doves. Their heads are so tiny ...

The jacaranda blossoms are beautiful, never saw that tree before and the turtle doves, so entwined, well done for capturing their canoodling!

Hey Lavender! Thanks for visiting my blog earlier and for your comments :) Hope you have a lovely day and that you find the elusive partridge in a pear tree. If not, perhaps three French hens may stroll across your path ; )
