Budgie Sunday - Erm, sorta

Yes, I know. I know that isnt a budgie. Thats my man-cat Priapus, and you've yet to be introduced to him properly. Yes, yes, Im a bad mommy-blogger now.

I repeat, I know thats not a picture of a budgie. And for the record, the subject of said picture does not contain a budgie. Just so thats clear.

Heres the deal: the budgies are having That Time, The Big M, The Bird Curse, Having a visit from Aunty Plume, The Dastardly Depilation...in other words, the moult.

They look terrible. They feel terrible. And they are really, really cranky. So we will just enjoy the handsome kitty this week, okay?

It's alright by me not seeing 'The Moult' because Priapus is cute and moulting isn't! Hope you've had a good sleep-in Lavender and enjoy Sunday :)

Then again ... cranky budgies could be entertaining

Captain Sorry Captain! Priapus would love to try it tho!

Pawhealer Oh you got it alright! LOL During the moult they remind me of myself at that time - but lucky birds, it happens to them only twice a year! LOL

BetteJo Well, you know man-cats, if ever a budgie needed containing he would offer his services in a flash! LOL (He will never get the chance!)

Anon They refuse to be entertaining, or even civil! Hehehehe Ah well, glad you can see Priapus' cuteness, he loves the camera too! :)

Ces Really sorry Ces! I might have been a little too cheeky there....heres hoping they are looking better by next sunday!

Merlinprincesse Hehehe They look like Yankee and Brit cats too - but they 'meow' with an Aussie accent! LOL

merlinprincesse said...

My Princesse don't say Mew! She says miaou! With a perfect French accent! :)

Lavender said...

Merlinprincesse SEE! They all thought I was crazy saying my Aussie cats meowed differently than my Yankee cats did - now you say your kitties meow with a french accent - and WHA LA! I HAVE PROOF THAT KITTIES HAVE ACCENTS TOO!
They all said I was mad! HAHAHAHAHA~!

OMG. What a gorgeous shot. I love the light and shadow. I did not think he had consumed a budgie. You too good a budgie mama to allow that. Gad. the dreaded moult. Do they all have little sticky lookin' heads?

Lavender said...

Bevson Thank you so much! Priapus knows how to work for the camera, he knew the shadow would add drama LOL We have a bunch of shots - all different poses - with the shadow Tehehe What a ham!
Oh yes, they do have those stick-like and sticky heads - all quills with sharp ends all over the poor dears heads - and so CRANKY. They dont even want to sit on my hand for love, money, sprouted wheat or millet! LOL
