Wordless - Bee in my Buxus

Nobody grows Buxus for its flowers, but that doesnt deter the bees from gathering the pollen. Spring has arrived in Australia at last.

Happy WW, did you play?

It will be nice to share your spring with us here in the US, as we're heading into fall!

This is an amazing shot. The bees have been making out like bandits this summer!

Happy WW! Please stop by.

Hi there Imp Thanks for that, I really admired your digital WW today - nice work!

Howdy Bettejo I miss those beautiful fall colours you get! Although there is some fall colour here, most of the trees are naturally natives - and they dont do the fall colour thing...but Im happy to share spring, and then during our summer, we can try to keep you warm during your winter hehehe!

Spring/ Summer...ugh hayfever. Aoide just advised that I should take locally produced honey. Any to spare from from these bees?

BTW, seeing Aoide in 16 days and counting...wheee!

YW!! Thats GREAT news, bet the anticipation is killing you guys! Been there, done that - hang tight! I hope you can get some local honey to try - thanks for reminding me of that, Ive got a friend who should try it too!
Hang in there - fingers crossed it goes fast for you both!

What a great close-up shot! Unfortunately autumn is coming in Britain without a summer. Hopefully we'll be joining you down under before too long. Happy WW!

Jams Love your gladious shot, well done! Thanks for stopping by, hope youre having a great WW!

Your bee is beautiful. I think mine has more fuzz though. Probably needs it in Scotland ;-)

Lavender said...

Alison Scotland - oh my yes! A bee would need ALOT of fuzz up there! Oh but hey - your bee has a MUCH prettier flower than mine! :)

WOW! Great shot!!! Love your entry;)

Mine's up too!

A little fuzz and a buzz. This is a really intriguing shot to me because I'm afraid of those little buggers:0
Happy WW!

Beautiful photograph Lavender. I can trace the patterns on its wings. Oh spring. Here in the gulf coast we only have two seasons hot and very hot, or dry and hurricane.

That's one of the best close-ups I've seen.

Yen Thanks Yen! I loved your shot too! Welcome to WW, Ive met alot of great blogs thru it - Thanks for stopping by!

Tammi Well, this is one that will cause you no trouble! Hope 'studying the enemy' will help you be less afraid. Loved your shot too! Hope you had a great WW!

Ces Ta Ces! I was very happy with being able to see the wing details too - think I may have done the happy dance when I saw them - plus the pollen sacks on his legs - In truth I see this bee alot better on the screen than I did in person LOL The weather there sounds like an endurance test!

Captain Aw shucks Thank you! The bee really helped me out on this one as it was VERY intent on collecting its pollen - I didnt know those tiny flowers were so attractive to the bees before I heard the buzzing as I walked past, Cheers!
