I feel like Ive gotten a little revenge for the native birds by embarrassing this Myna LOL!

Weve gotten a rack for the bikes, so we can now escape the neighborhood - where we will go to ride today - we dont know! We will just pack a lunch and see where we end up. Have a great day!

HAHAHAHHA great revenge and photographs Lavender! We have the native Noisy ones here, but your Common Mynas are just as noisy and DON'T belong!! Have a great day - great weather for it!

Did you tell it to go away? Perhaps it will imitate you! Have fun riding.

Hi Anon Ces & BetteJo! We went to the botanical gardens and had a great time - I didnt bring the camera (cause it cost more than BOTH bikes! Tehehe) But wished I had as we even saw a gorgeous chocolate brown wallaby! We are planning another out-of-neighborhood excursion tommorrow, (the next day hubby's shift starts again)...Im so loving being out on a bike!!!

There used to be a Myna bird at the Birmingham Botanical gardens. It lived in the largest of the hot houses. Unfortuneatly, it's immitating skills meant that it started picking up increasing numbers of swear words. Some visiting little old ladies looked quite offended when it told them to "f!*# off" and he was relocated to the Cacti house where he could cause less trouble!

Aren't Myna birds known for talking or is it mimmicking? Anyway this little critter does look annoyed by you invading his privacy:)

It is great fun to bike ride and take photos along the way. We go on each Sunday... I love it!

Barkfoot Hahaha! Good story, thanks for the laugh! Banished to the cacti house - next time I see this Myna, I will warn him he could share the same fate! LOL

Sharon These do mimic the calls of other birds, and is possibly the most cool thing about them - even if it can be annoying -as when I hear an unfamiliar bird call I go out to see who is visiting - and when I find its just a cheeky myna pretending to be someone more interesting, well, you can imagine my chagrin! LOL

Captain Methinks he did protest too much! ROFL

Periette Hehehe Apparently not! :) Its a pity these guys are kinda cute, in thier own way - because they are such bullies to the native birds that its very hard to be forgiving or appreciative. My cats do appreciate them when they walk across the lawn in front of kitties fave sunning window tho :)

Hi Sandy Thank you, not too bad for shooting thru the kitchen window - hope youve been keeping well!

I love seeing your birds. I think there are some Mynahs hanging around in South Florida but it is too cold for them up here. I saw loads in India though.

Hi Bevson! Well it wont surprise you that these are also called "Indian Myna" too. Well spotted! :) (Maybe cyber-bird- spotting could be a good alternative to the real thing when weather doesnt permitt getting out, tehehe)

Love these photos, and he does look a bit put off.

Hi Hardwax, many thanks! He really did look very startled when he saw me - was very funny - for me anyway.
