grey gloomy winter so far...

Been sifting thru photos from before I went missing...lovely shots of summer....got sorta lost looking thru them all and had a brain cramp trying to pick one to share.

As now its winter here, it seemed odd to post warm summer shots, you know?

I traipsed around the backyard for you, and in the gloomy light got this somewhat moody shot of a mystery bird on the neighbors aerial. Tonnes more accurate!

HAH! I don't know when the equinox is, but it's really dark and miserable in Sydney! Your photograph describes the mood perfectly Lavender :)

Oh Lavender, that photo looks almost ominous! Do you still have your budgies?

It's kind of sad that when it's warm and wonderful here, it's gray and drab there. But - you always brought us some sunshine, didn't you?!

Anon Oh shucks, Ta Anon! My two kitties are most miffed theres been no sun shining in "thier window" for ages - they are really cranky!

Onedia Aha! I knew it had to be close, if its your Solstice this weekend, then it should also be our Equinox - Excellent - Thank you! Spring is on the way Tehehe

BetteJo Well, we in opposite hemispheres will just have to take turns keeping the other hopeful for spring, eh? Tehehe
I do still have most of my birdy friends - thanks for asking! If the sun ever comes out again I will need to try to get some new pics - but as its been awhile, they will be scared of the camera again - LOL!

Ces Hooray!!!! Hugs!!!!

Kite The JCB shot was taken fairly nearby...I really loved the way the operator made such a neat pile of his work, and then parked on the centre of it- teheehee - I had to drive back with my camera to get a shot of it - reminded me of a dragon on its hoard!! :) (I also admired the 'shields' theyd made of chequer plate to protect against vandal attack - very clever.
Good to have us both back in action again, heres hoping we and all our friends stay safe and healthy from here on!

Captain Tis! But Id bet youve seen creepier in your travels, Captain! Good to see you!

Mark Thats right Mark, our turn to suffer in want of a warm summer day LOL Do you have a blog or a page we could visit?

merlinprincesse See - there it is! Your Solstice is our Equinox - well - tehehe - give or take a few hours, eh? I cant tell you how excited I am that the days will start getting longer again...too bad we still do the daylight savings thing - when it makes it dark again - its almost like having equinox twice, if you know what I mean....then again, it could be time for a cuppa......better have one for medicinal purposes :)

Hear hear to that Lavender! Continued good health to you - stay safe and healthy and keep blogging ; ) (by the way, I loved your description of the JCB as a dragon on its hoard! Also very funny about him driving all over the neat pile, heh heh. Stay strong, much love, AKR.

Now that the days are getting longer it can only get better. Soon enough you'll be having your evening meal with sunshine still pouring through the windows.
