I fed the mozzies for you last night getting these shots of the Lunar Eclipse. They didnt come out too badly considering I was shooting directly under a street light in my front yard. The second photo is when the eclipse was nearly complete.
Wish you could see them full screen, sigh. Im away today, and tommorrow we are putting in a new fence - but I will check in as often as possible. Have a great day!
Photography Anonymous has some great moon shots, check them out!!!

HEEHEEE!!!! Thanks for the link Lavender but our photos look the same! I even took them from the back yard and not the front ;)
You're so lucky getting to see this. In the UK we missed it as it was obscured by the daylight. Not bad photos, did you have to use a tripod?
Lavender, I didn't even realize there was a lunar eclipse last night. Shows you how uninformed I am ... LOL!
Hi Lavender! I love the photos, but I just don't know what to say about this lunar eclipse. I read some things about it and it's said that this eclipses kind of influence our lives and behaviors. And for instance, I'm having a very bad day today...everything seems to go so wrong...
Regards!
Super pictures; Australia had a good viewing.
Anon I beg to differ! I think your shots are heaps better :)
Barkfoot I did use a tripod as it was such a long exposure, Im sorry you couldnt see it live! The news people did say that Australia would have one of the better views, Just lukcy this time I guess.
Nick I only heard it a day or so before myself - which was pure luck! I think the next one is due in four years - hope you can catch that one. :)
Maria Im hoping today is a better day for you! Personally I find a lunar eclipse seems to bring me good luck - but I couldnt tell you if the effect is real or imagined. It is kinda nice to know that no matter what goes on in our lives, the business of the universe goes on regardless. Humbling, but comforting :)
Captain Thanks! I bet you get great views of all kinds of things while youre on the Enterprise :) Oh, that wouldve been a great way to see this LOL!
I think these are great! I missed the beginning of the eclipse by an hour...when I finally got outside it was in the total stage...and of course I saw nothing! Thanks for sharing these!
Way better than our view which was obscured by the storm cluds :(
Jenny & Ces I hope you both get a better view at the next one - Ive heard its due in four years time - but admitt thats all I know...it makes a lovely evening sitting and star gazing - especially if you can make an event of it - If I get my act together I think the next one Id like to see with a picnic supper somewhere out in the countryside away from city lights....will 4 years be long enough to plan that? LOL!
I was pretty disappointed because it was cloudy where I live so I missed the eclipse.
Shaun Bummer! I hope the pics here and on the two sites I linked to will satisfy your curiousity, heres hoping you get a great view of the next one!
