A Lazy Saturday
So far its been an unusually lazy saturday morning. The Most DH and brother in law have taken the boat out early, so Im hoping they get some nice fish for dinner.
The weather is glorious and Im thinking today the last six rose bushes will get thier seasonal pruning. Its a little late to put in hollyhock seeds, but Im going to do that as well.
And then perhaps, between loads of laundry, I will have a long visit with everybudgie.
The photo today is of a rose hip from Mr Lincoln. These colours are near to the colours Im searching for, for the new quilt. I might have to give up that quest and dye my own. I wonder what sort of incredible mess I can make doing that....

Beautiful weather for fishing, gardening and visiting budgies Heehee! NOT laundry - blah. Have you made tea from your rose hip?
No, I havent, and I like Rose hip tea too - perhaps I can work a cuppa in this afternoon? Awfully pretty to mash up tho :)
The wind has picked up, and so I am going to have to put in for 'hazardous duty' pay today Hahahaha!
Did you enjoy afternoon 'tea' and fish for dinner Lavender? I pruned one tree for a clear shot of a nest (thinking about your new shears)and ended up landscaping half the backyard (with help from my scissors). Haahaa! I have a feeling or few I won't be moving at all tomorrow ...
You know how to Enjoy, Saturday, Lavender. I've got to drag myself out to get my hair cut!
Anon Missed the tea, but a lovely flathead for dinner! The men had a great day out.
Sounds like your day was productive! I hope the satisfaction will be enough to soothe your muscles!
Captain I hope your haircut came out nice, and that the rest of your day was fun!
That is a great colour. I was looking for something like that for place mats on Saturday. I could find coasters that colour but could I find dinner plate sized ones that matched?
Of course not!!! LOL You know, as soon as we change our colour scheme ideas, they will be all over the place....
(thanks for stopping by!)
So did the guys catch any fish?
It wasnt thier best day - sorry to say! LOL But He did bring home one nice flathead which was a great dinner.
Flathead are a bit like a long skinny flounder. (Im still learning my Aussie fish, so someone may describe them better than I can)
Cheers Ces!
