Ces Oh shucks! You know, thats one of my secret ambitions! Teehee you pegged that one easily :) I also got beetles wasps, spiders that day....and yesterday more of those tiny native stingless bees that Iam in love with....I guess I just love anything I can 'shoot' LOL

are they not the most beautiful of insects ?? the hairs on their tiny bodies attract pollen like a magnet - it fairly jumps onto them !

That's a great shot. It's not until you get up close that you realise how fluffy they are.

Happy new year Lavender! And Congratulations on this really good shot. So close and still so well focused, you can see the single hairs of him even :-)

Ngaio LOL this is the first time Id noticed the hairs on the legs - well the rear most ones anyway! Just this year Ive gone from a general fan of bees to a real fanatic for them - and Ive so much to learn! :)

Barkfoot Almost cuddly! Its too bad we dont have bumbles down here, Id love to see one of those via macro LOL

Areeiro This Bee was particularly patient! I just kept getting closer and he just continued his work....oh wait, maybe it was just the sun in his eyes! LOL
