Doryanthes Excelsa: Gymea or Spear Lily, Part 2

Im so excited that this finally decided to send up a bud - its only been approx eight years - and possibly closer to nine! I think we are close to blossoming time, so I am going to try for a series on this - another pic in my next post - its so tall!!

Yes - I planted it just there for the very purpose of being able to see the flowers at face level - and ITS FINALLY GOING TO HAPPEN!!!

Captain After such a long wait, I cant help being so excited, LOL!

BetteJo We see these all the time around here - but they are always so high in the air, that its hard to tell what they are really like - I cant wait!
